Last year I purchased a Realm for my kiddo's 8th birthday party (couldn't have an in-person party due to covid, so we had an online Minecraft party).
This year, since we STILL can't have a party, I purchased the Greek Mythology Mash-Up world for his birthday, but I can't upload it to the Realm due to this bug. The world has a Resource Pack, but I can't upload ANY world, not even a tiny 12MB world that was previously downloaded from the Realm.
To add to my frustration, it turns out I've been paying for this Realm for a year, but my kid basically never used it because he constantly had issues with his Nintendo Switch connecting to it and gave up. Now he plays mostly on Windows 10 Edition, but he and his friends had already given up on the Realm I've paid over $100 for this past year.
Sounds like there's no fix coming in time for my kid's party next weekend. And while I can just run my own dedicated server, there's no easy way to get his console-playing friends to connect to it.
It's hard to understand how this has been an open issue since 2017 with no apparent movement towards a solution. As this is related to recurring revenue for MS/Mojang, how in the world isn't this a high enough priority to have a reliable fix sorted out after all this time? I'm not sure how to explain to my kid that his birthday world will be limited to 4 guests at a time because of a bug on your end when it was working last year.
Caret notation that obeys the command block orientation would make it possible to build contraptions that can be cloned and rotated via structure blocks without having to re-write the commands to account for the new orientation of the contraption.
I'm also blocked by this.
