I would also like to add that on the “Saving World” screen, the game continues to animate normally in the background, but it still stays stuck on that same screen and never returns to the main menu.

Thank you for checking this report. I just want to confirm that another player (GamerMovie63) also reported having the same exact issue, and it happens on both their laptop and phone. This shows that the problem is not device-specific and is most likely a general bug in Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.111. Please look into this as it affects multiple platforms.
