@redstonehelper Just confirmed this bug is also present in 1.12.2 (see screenshot attachment with grass background). I am not 100% sure this isn't a duplicate of MC-89667, but it seems to be slightly different. If that was the only issue occuring here, then it wouldn't make sense for the only two possible errors being a missing top-left corner block and a missing top layer. If the top two layers were in a different chunk, for instance, both of them should be missing, but that isn't the case here.
~redstonehelper That doesn't appear to be related to this issue. This bug deals more with same-tick teleportation in different chunks, closely related to the two bugs mentioned near the bottom of the report.
~skylinerw Oh, my bad. I wasn't aware comments sent out emails to those watching the threads (I rarely use this website, as evidenced by me not knowing how to link people ;P).
@Marcono1234 I can confirm this bug is no longer occurring in Minecraft 1.12.1. Since r=0 has been changed by definition, the above method of testing no longer works, so I confirmed it with barrier blocks and detect to move the armorstand. Speed was at the maximum from the start – no extra armorstands changed the speed.
Yeah, the bug lives on, Marcono1234! Hopefully it'll be fixed soon. Lol
Wow, that is indeed really weird.
Yeah, I'm not sure. However, I don't think this is by design. If anything, more entities should make the game take longer to execute commands, not shorten. More entities shouldn't increase the frequency in which players are detected.
This bug is false. I figured that out a long time ago but I'm not sure how to delete this post. 😛
Carl, you're able to reproduce it. The download link I provided does work. If you look directly behind you when you log in, you'll notice a black or white wool block there (I forgot which). You need to place the block you want to paint with there. Then to actually paint on the screen, you have to press [Q] on the wool item in your last hotbar slot. To reproduce the effect I was talking about, simply draw a slightly large vertical box, put your cursor in the middle, then turn around and click the button at the top. If your issue is that nothing is working at all, you need to either make sure command blocks are enabled or locate the start of the fill clock and replace the redstone block there with another redstone block.
Try filling the one across and it won't crash. Try filling the one vertical and it will crash.
Since, I provided a World Download, you don't have to do everything I said to recreate it. Just draw your defined shape by pressing [Q] on the white wool in your inventory and moving the cursor around, then test for yourself. 🙂
Can confirm it's present in the current stable build, 1.16.20.3. Please get this issue resolved!
