I appreciate the quick response! I'm still not sure if we're on the right track though, because I have the latest Intel drivers, and can successfully play on any other Minecraft server out there. But I will test my particular server instance on another PC this evening and see if I experience the same issues.

Fortunately, you were correct. Strange that 1.9 seems more demanding, and will not play on a particular machine when all other 1.8/1.7 servers work just fine with that hardware. But I tested my same server on another PC and ran into no issues.
