So my older sister just bought Minecraft for me yesterday for my birthday and I've been having the same problem. She thought that deleting the launcher and re-downloading it on my laptop would work because she had the same problem on her old laptop. We tried that at least 7 times and it still didn't work. She can play it perfectly fine on her new laptop but we have the exact same laptops and I got mine only a month after hers...
