I'd like to be clear, we are talking about the game client side not displaying your outgoing messages.
In versions prior to 1.13, sending a whisper in your client to another player would show in game "You whisper to <Player>". This is missing in 1.13. Receiving whispers from other players works as expected.
The purpose of this report is that the player should be able to maintain a coherent conversation through whispers with another player on a multiplayer server.
I've also attached my latest.log file - I sent the message to myself, which you can see the incoming side but not the outgoing side.
Precondition:
Set up local server using minecraft_server.1.13.jar.
Two players log in to server.
Steps to Reproduce:
1) Send whisper to other player using: /w <PLAYER> <MESSAGE>
2) Observe.
Expected behaviour:
Game displays full conversation, both outgoing and incoming messages in game chat (visible by pressing T key by default).
Observed Behaviour:
You can view only Incoming whispers from players sending messages to you.
