I've tried a couple of times in 1.21.43 and yes the game still failed to sign me in at launch.

As of 1.21.21 I still have an issue with automatic sign-in at the start of the game but my ressource packs & skins are now available directly in Settings. I don't need to go find them in the Marketplace anymore.
