I should probably have added this is occurring on the server version, there only one team in the scoreboard called 'Staff'.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set gamemode to Spectator
2. Using the number keys, select Teams 'Teleport to team member'
3. Client will crash after 'Teleport to team member' has been selected
I'd be happy to show you if you are unable to reproduce the crash.
The resource pack used has no influence on this issue. Having said that, I have attached a crash-log without the resource pack enabled.
I've been finding I've had a similar issue too, though I'm on Mac OSX. It seems to be quite random too, shift being down (when not pressed), jumping (when haven't hit space) etc.
Can also confirm this for 14w25b, server seemed to crash on a player joining. Have been running this server snapshot .jar since last Friday, and this is the first time I have encountered this issue. Included a log extract below, though I have removed the players name, UUID & IP. Upon the crash, no crash report was generated & the server appeared to have been stopped as normal.
I have had a similar issue, there's a maximum number of people you can put on a team (scoreboards). If possible, clearing team "players" should resolve it.
For the time being, or for any other players whom are suffering a similar issue. If you have console/chat access typing "/scoreboard teams empty <team name>" will fix it.

I can confirm this is still a present bug in the snapshot 13w24a, server jar file.
To reply to Louis' question, yes on the default language pack.

Resolved in 15w46a, client doesn't crash when 'Teleport to team member' is selected.
