Also having this issue. Unfortunately I'm only now seeing this thread. We (our church) wanted to build a Minecraft server for our kids to have an "Easter egg hunt". We have a dual-socket Dell R720 with plenty of resources available right now, and I thought it would be plenty powerful enough. Everything was running fine with the 3 person event team building the world, but yesterday once kids started connecting it completely fell over. HTOP showed a single vcore just getting hammered and the other 29 cores sitting idle. Super frustrating since generally from a performance perspective, and definitely from a licensing perspective, Linux is a better server than Windows.
