Justo to add. When it started for me after switch to 1.7 and before I started looking for troubleshooting here I actually sent mail to Minecraft Education Edition Team Suport (request 19446). I got response from Kyle McMurtry paste below (on 17.10).

Thanks for reaching out, sorry to hear about the trouble. I too have not been able to get Code Connection to launch on 1.7.0 either.

We are investigating this and trying to identify the issue. Thank you for surfacing this, we hope to have a resolution soon.|

yes same here I just wanted to create this issue and I see it is just here. 1.6.0 minecraft windows 10 edition was working perfectly fine with code connection 1.5.0. After updating minecraft to 1.7.0 connection cannot be established anymore. Immediately after putting connection details in minecraft we get message "connection close"
