Some chunks have remained as per before the update and some have moved.

Since the latest update. The YouTuber Foxy No Tail had spawn proofed his base and found slimes outside the chunks where it should be impossible for them to spawn. https://youtu.be/ZV7EI4B6bL4?t=879
