Yeah if you try /particle dragonbreath ~ ~1 ~ 1 1 1 0 10000, and change the '0' to a '1' and then a '10', you will see the different lag tiers, I guess you could say.
My apologies. It seemed like a bug to me.
@Skylinerw So it's related to the "only 63 block updates per chunk problem"?
Also what counts as a block update? Is it only related to blocks with extra data like chest, hoppers, and command blocks?
@Panda Well, I have a villager house and every so often i would find villagers in the walls. The bottom half was a sideways log and the top block was a glass block. It also happened where I would just hear the villager taking damage which I presume was them taking damage in the walls which was a sideways log on bottom and a plank on top (all oak). It seemed to happen when the house was crowded (due to nighttime and no "safe house") and i logged out or reloaded the chunks in some way.
So, if it is a separate issue I'll make a topic, but it is so difficult to replicate I'm not sure there would be any point. That's why I commented on this topic.
Ah, okay, thanks for the quick fix. That's too bad though, I'll have to figure something else out.
Not sure if this is the same problem so i commented rather than making a new bug report, but I have screenshot of entities getting pushed into complete block walls, which may mean this problem includes solid blocks too. (although I'm not 100% sure it's the same problem).
The testforblock command is not used in this structure. It is a clone command using the move option. If the testforblock command was being used you would be correct.
My computer's decently powerful and it gets no lag when I spawn the 10,000 particles at 0 speed (thanks to dinnerbone). However when I spawn them in at 10 speed, I get about 1 frame a second. And the poster says it happens even with a small amount of particles (100) at 10 speed.
