This has been happening to me for several weeks now. I'm using the Windows 10 version of Minecraft. When I open Minecraft and load a world (or create a world), it will enter the world and work for approximately 3-5 seconds, then freeze for a couple of seconds, then disappear without an error message. If I join a server, no crash and plays fine.
I have it (Minecraft) installed on 5 computers in my house. All of them crash except for one computer, the one I have it installed to be used as a server that we all can join and play together. For some reason, this one does not crash. I tried copying one of my saved worlds to the server and opening it there and it played fine. I tried copying one of the saved worlds from the server to my computer and it crashed. So it's not the saves. All are at version 1.5.1. But as I said, it's been happening for several weeks now, so before this latest update.
