No it is my bad, I should have written that when you throw the eye of ender, it disappears, then comes back in the air after about one second. I am not referring to it landing.
Actually I just retested it. It goes below you for about a second when you throw it from your hand. I don't know if that was implemented though.
In all, decreased, and minimal, it doesn't show particles.
