I JUST experienced this.
Order of events:
1. World crashes.
2. Reopen app.
3. Select a different world in haste.
4. Realize the mistake.
5. Close wrong world: save and quit.
6. Open correct world that crashed.
7. See app crash to iphone screen.
Step 3 is the likely mistake. It had like the previous bug reporter been 900MB in size and now reports 330MB but this may be a red herring.
I hope this helps solve the issue, as i had recently spawned the wirther end boss and got my butt kicked and would like to get back in and finish it off. wink

I just want to point out that the typical step of reopening the correct world does work but only the very first time after a world has crashed.
This could have corrected the problem as ive seen it in the past.
