I have the exact same issue. No matter whether I try to change my skin on the Minecraft website of the skin section on the launcher, my slim skins always have black lines on them even though I've put them on the slim model. It takes forever for my skins to even update now. When checking back on the Minecraft website to change my skin, it always has the Steve model selected when I've always selected the Alex model. Very annoying :/
