Jap, I have the same issue on my Nintendo Switch, too. Version 1.9.0 is terrible. But not only the fps dropping down constantly, at some point my game freezes while having the loading icon in the top right corner. You can not press any Button except the Nintendo Switch Home and Screenshot Button. After around 5 minutes, my game came back and brougt me an Error-Screen with "Connection to Nintendo Services Lost". After I applied the message, my game ran ok..... But the best part is when you want to leave your current world. I click on "Save & Exit" and the game crashes instantly. It freezes and nothing happens. I have to press the Nintendo Switch Home Button on my Controller and close Minecraft from the System Menu. Minecraft can not be closed from the System and so I get an Error Message with "A problem occurred. The game was closed" ..... or something like that.
