Thanks for looking at this @miwob , however the fact we are often not able to connect is surely a bug?

My feature request is to make it adjustable, but the bug still stands for those on "narrow" links (low bandwidth), and should be a very easy fix by adjusting the internal timeout in code.

Thanks.

The latest release (I think) has made things even worse, it appears to now be a 15 second time out. I have set my server`view-distance` to 7, and this is what I'm getting:

[09:15:15] [Server thread/INFO]: wendymc2 joined the game
[09:15:30] [Server thread/INFO]: wendymc2 lost connection: Timed out
[09:15:30] [Server thread/INFO]: wendymc2 left the game

So increasing the `view-distance` to 10 does not actually change anything either, similar thing (I'm trying everything I can find on the internet):

[09:41:11] [Server thread/INFO]: wendymc2 joined the game
[09:41:32] [Server thread/INFO]: wendymc2 lost connection: Disconnected
[09:41:32] [Server thread/INFO]: wendymc2 left the game

Increasing this initial timeout would be much appreciated for those of us without fast  internet connections.

Thanks.

Also adding in 1.14.2, as this appears to be worse. It was always 30 seconds previously, now it appears to be even less!

If you are able to make this configurable, or even just extend the initial timeout in the code for 1.14.3, that would be great for those of us not on fast internet connections.

the new update fixed this thank you

I have been testing this further, and I have found that if I move that entire section of the world down 1 block (using a clone/move command), the issue goes away. In case it's of value I have uploaded the worlds both before and after (I have set the worldspawn, but in case it does not work, go to about 130 70 -1460).

The original world having the issue: http://sillyfrog.com/tmp/Iron_Golem_in_Ground.zip

And the world where I have moved it down one block, and it appears to be fixed: http://sillyfrog.com/tmp/Iron_Golem_NOT_in_Ground.zip

I'm getting a similar issue, but I don't even need half slabs! I have attached an image showing what happens. I have done some experimentation, and found the following:
The Iron Golems will NOT spawn if the dirt is only 1 high (I cleared out 3 high under the dirt, then under the 3 air it is just stone etc). The Iron Golems don't appear to even spawn in the opening (ie: they are not spawning anywhere)

If I put another layer of dirt under the top layer of dirt (as per the image with "3 Iron Golems in ground"), then they spawn again, however half in the dirt so they can't actually move. When this happens I can just walk up to them and hit them with my sword, and they do nothing, unless I get very very close, then they can attack.

This is Minecraft 1.9 final.

yeah and its the edges of a modal that turns white.Mipmaps are turn off in most video game to get rid of the lines .i know this because im making a game if your far from the object there's a bunch of white lines from the uv cutout.if your near it will have more detail.ps sorry it was on auto spell

I really do hope this is fixed for the next update. Because yes this basically renders public servers useless due to the frequent nature of this bug. I'm getting Bad packet ID 128 btw.
