The other stuff can be used, like do you know your Java version?
What are you doing with LAN, LAN servers must be connected through the same Wifi access. Also, when connecting through Direct connect you have to type the IPv4 address and then type the code the game gives you.
For Operating PC system It means like do you run Windows, OS, Linux that type of stuff.
