I was finally able to hop into this world again and it does seem (after 2 snow cycles) that the issue has been resolved. Thanks guys!

@JervieA20 I cannot upload the world file as it exceeds the 10MB limit for attachments.

I've had the issue with cobblestone, stone brick and tuff walls so far. I have also noticed that the string that I have placed on my roof is tarting to be negatively affected by the snow layers also.
