I'm having the same problem with large slimes in minecarts on a multiplayer server, it's happened to me twice now, usually when I log out, but definitely not every time I log out.

I was disconnected by this io.netty.handler issue a good 10 hours ago, and I still can't get back onto my friend's server. I've had 4 other people say they can't get on either due to the io.netty error, however the server is clearly up. When I hover over the server to see who's on, it shows myself and 2 others, the 2 who were on with me when the server kicked us all last night. None of us are on right now, but multiple people can see that us 3 are on that server, yet none of us can log in.
