I've been having this happen for a few weeks now, mostly with horses and villagers (though also cows, sheep, llamas and axolotls I've interacted with somehow). The other day, I had a horse disappear right out from under me!

I suspect it might?? be something having to do with the chunk borders, so I'm gonna play around with those and see what happens!
