Same problem here. I haven’t played the game in a year and I decided to redownload it 2 days ago, so I don’t know if this issue is new. For some reason no matter which skin I select i’m always alex ingame, in fact even if I choose a different default skin I still get alex. In servers I see everyone as default skins. I’ve tried everything I’ve seen online and no results.
