Can confirm, my portal was working fine from 1.14 to 1.16.1, after updating to 1.16.2 going to the nether is working, but when going back the new portal is created instead about 100 blocks away. Portals were not linked manually, portal in the nether was auto-generated after building the overworld one, and now they don't link at all.
