Over a year later and this exact same thing has happened to me, to a T. Playing on a realms server building an elytra course underground and I got the 'experienced kinetic energy' death in a cave. When I went back to the area, all of my items were there EXCEPT what I had equipped, specifically, an elytra, helmet, leggings and boots. // minecraft bedrock 1.20.12
