This is also a bug on Bedrock.

It happens in multiplayer too

Happens in SMP too.

Is this really a bug? Things get a tiny bit darker when you're not directly in the sun. I think it might just be lighting system tweaks that are making so many people whine about nothing when they were just more realistic.
