0.15.3 no work still....

I'll look into it. Tablet is showing up to date, but will do a little more research online to see if there is anything I can do to bring the tablet to a higher version of android. Thanks for your interest in this problem. Just for info; I was looking at the ratings and comments on the Google Play Store MCPE and there are a lot of people having the same issue. I think the developers of MC are gonna have to start seriously looking into this crash or they are going to loose a lot of money.
Buying a new tablet just to play MC was a sarcastic joke, but the rooting and installing a newer android version is probably beyond my technical expertise.
I think the older android version cannot handle the changes in the 15.0 update. like I said; 14.0 worked well on the tablet. It wasn't until the update to 15.0 when the problem started. Guess if I want to play on a bigger screen, I will have to buy a new tablet with a newer version of android.

The LG works fine without any problems and I can play the game although it pauses occasionally but has not crashed yet.

Yeah, It is a shame that so many children spent so many hours, days, months mining and building a world only to have it wiped away with a single tap of the finger.

I know the tablet is old, but all the other games that were loaded on the tablet worked fine. I'm thinking it is because the android version on the tablet is a much older version. But, the developers should have tested the update on older versions or possibly made it so older versions would not update.

What do you think I've been doing since updating to 15.0? As I said up to the point of factory reset. I am convinced that the issue is not a problem with my tablet since I have absolutely nothing installed except MCPE. No WiFi, deleted files/folders, no third party apps, no texture packs, etc.... About ready to give up and wait until they come up with a fix..... someday.
No, I meant what I said. I updated from 14.x to 15.0 and that is when the problem started. Sorry I updated my tablet. The game updated and works ok on my LG stylus phone. Just liked playing on the bigger screen of the tablet.

Also if you look at the MCPE forums, there are a lot of people having the same issue that are not commenting here.
I've tried all the methods mentioned as well, to the point of factory reset and reinstall ONLY MCPE. Deleting files and folders and launching without WiFi connected. I have tried every suggestion mentioned without success. Something changed in the 15.0 update that is causing the problem. Sorry I updated. I had rather be able to play the game instead of having pistons and horses.
Kevin, The black screen only stays on for a few seconds before going back to the tablet home screen or the google play screen (which ever the game was launched from). Even though it appears to be running in the background (open Apps), it never loads. I have let it sit for over an hour and the game never loaded. If I tap the icon in the running apps, I get the same results. a black screen for a few seconds then back to the tablet home screen.
Khaled, Tried that also with the same results. I have tried deleting the files you have suggested. Still no can play. It has something to do with the 15.0 update causing the problem. They need to look at the things they added or changed in 15.0. 14.x worked great. Had I known, I would not have updated to 15.0.
As a last attempt to get this game to work, since some people have had success with removing files, texture packs, third party apps, etc... I did a factory reset (lost a lot of stuff and took a lot of time). After I got Google Play store back, went directly to MCPE and installed. Still have the same issue.
So.... it seems to be an issue with the 15. 0/1/2 update than a device problem. I know some have done this already with the same results. I did this for my own satisfaction to insure it was not something that I had downloaded causing the problem.

Yes, Updated through Google Play Store using home WiFi. WiFi is working on all other apps. No texture packs or any other third party apps. Any way to go back to 14.0?

Many people are having the same issue.
Same issue. when tapping the MCPE icon, screen goes blank for a few seconds then back to the tablet home screen. No menu, no errors, just black screen. Only happened recently when updating to 15.0 and/or 15.1.

Most of the current black screen issues started with the 15.0 update affecting most android 4.0 systems. Seems that would be a good starting point for a fix. The problem started with the incorporation of MCPE to the Windows 10 platform and the addition of Realms. Also the requirement for an internet connection to play the game may also be an issue. I think earlier versions could be played off line. My Sony Tablet still don't work. Android version 4.0.3
