Yeah I wasn't sure if that was the case, but we also couldn't do damage to the crystals with arrows, wasn't sure if it was related.

(on a server, on survival) We also could not destroy the crystals with arrows. We then climbed the towers and attempted with swords, this also did not work, not did picks, empty fists, or anything else we tried.
