Glad to see dinnerbone at least is tring to work on it, i ranted about this for awhile honestly on a few threads and after the pissed off-ness wore off i simply decided if MC was worth another upgrade to a already new PC i bought FOR minecraft..... and well basically i did, went out bought a nvidia card (wich is worse actually than my ati about 25-30 FPS worse on max everything)and this issue is 100% totally gone, funny because when i bought this pc setup i did research on what "plays" minecraft the best processor and videocard wise and made sure i got it on my new pc.....

now i can run minecraft again and optifine actually helps me to get back to where i was performance wise, unlike my ati card wich ran better without optifine... and now i get the infamous nvidia driver crash nonstop on windows 7.......

heres to hoping this gets fixed either way because personally i hate nvidia they have known as well about these driver problems and alot of people are complaining still nothing LOL....

EDIT - one thing i forgot to say was i have no problem understanding that PC games have a broad range of problems from many many setups and i totally understand its not easy to make a game 100% perfect on every setup out there, so in that resepct im not hating on mojang, they after all made my most favorite game that makes me go out and spend all this money on it, they didnt ask me to i choose to because of my love for the game. in short i just really would have felt alot better giving the money i just wasted on a new videocard to mojang as my old card worked fine pre this update but since i cant "not" update (play online and cant go without my mods 😛)its something i had todo for my situation.

At least im not the only one with this bug... I just bought this PC "for" minecraft only... and now about 3 months later.... I really hope this gets resolved somehow no way im getting another card and spending even more money to play this... i love minecraft but seriously.... now i get hella FPS and terrible glitches... /sarcasm. we need to vote this up people!!!

I been playing with my settings as well and its 100% worse if i turn my filtering off, not being a a#s but this cannot be a card problem NEVER, let me repeat NEVER had this issue before been playing since 1.8, and really sucks TBH this really sucks..... looks like ill be on 1.4.7 forever!!!! Since this "bug" has supposedly been around forever...

Hmmm, ive never had this issue, just appeared to me on the snapshot, i really wana mess with hoppers but cant stand this glitch, ill stay on 1.4.6 and wait hopefully it isnt there on 1.5...

EDIT - run around in a nether fortress YUUUUCK! its almost unplayable ugly.
