World becomes semi transparent, non-liquid blocks will all assume the same texture, entire screen starts flashing. Will stop if paused using the 'esc' key, but restarts when reentering the game.

This is not resolved, I specifically said that the thread you linked as a duplicate was a different problem
A. They can't join any servers at all, I'm just having trouble with LAN servers
B. They got a different message when trying to join a server than I did, how do I change it back to open?
