I encountered twice, both times happened around my base, the 1st time I was working inside my base gathering stone at my stone generator. While I am mining the stones, I did feel a sudden lag but I ignored it then kept working for around 10minutes. When it happened, I did c some glitches in the graphic, some tiles disappeared n I can c outside my base for a while, all 4 piston stopped too.
The 2nd time it happened, just now in version 1.17.40, I was AFK in my creeper farm for almost 10hours, so I'm not sure when the mobs disappeared. The creeper farm is located above y level 193 it think, using a trident killer, n the creeper amount is ok, not insanely huge I guess, I got maybe 2 double chest full of gun powder after around 10hours.... Sorry I'm not sure if these details will help with the debugging or not. I'm playing on Nintendo switch.
The 1st time it happened with a smaller radius around my base, the 2nd time is bigger radius. I don't think bees inside the beehive r affected.
I remember something important. I think only the area I recently been through gets despawn. The 1st time n 2nd time I encountered this problem, I was moving between 2 different directions, n the mobs that despawn r the mobs in-between these 2 areas. The mobs in the area that I didn't go for a while r fine.
