I have just experienced this. It breaks soooo many blocks that the world lags to the point I can't move and I die, either bring back the ability to kill it I have to bedrock, or lower the damage to java levels. I burnt through 15 totems and three sets of netherite armour. It was nowhere near this bad before the update.

Any progress on this? An update of where things are up to would be much appreciated.

Is this ever going to get fixed, drop everything else and work on this. This ruined the game for me. 

Its still happening in 1.14 it actually seems worse now than it was in the previous updates. You should re-name the game Block Lag Craft since the mine part is almost impossible.
