MCPE-223386 Extreme lag when attaching Happy Ghast to a fence using a lead (1.21.6, Switch & Bedrock) Duplicate

Comments

Hi! I’ve been having the exact same problem on Nintendo Switch, and after many tests I found the specific cause of the extreme lag:

👉 The issue starts when you tie a Happy Ghast to a fence with a lead.

As soon as the Happy Ghast is leashed, the world begins lagging horribly:

  • Blocks disappear when placed.

  • Mobs freeze or glitch.

  • Items float instead of dropping.

  • Inventory actions get reversed.

  • The game stutters constantly.

✅ Once I removed the Happy Ghast or didn’t tie it, everything went back to normal.

I tried this multiple times and confirmed it was the lead + fence + Happy Ghast that caused the lag.

You can try entering your Realm, removing the lead from the mob (or killing the Happy Ghast), and see if performance improves.

I’ve already submitted a bug report about this issue. Hopefully Mojang patches it soon. It seems to be affecting multiple Bedrock platforms, not just Switch.

Let me know if removing the Happy Ghast works for you too!
