I think this should only work on multiplayer because on single player you don't have any checks and there isn't any server-client lag. Also, if this is only a multiplayer issue mojang can't do anything.
I've noticed that iron golems aren't spawning altogether now, have afk'd near spawner for hours. Door count and Villager count are met.
