nevermind this was fixed after restarting my nintendo switch
I have this problem, it is very bad, I have a 1 1/2-year-old long term survival world that I decided to turn into a realm because all of my family and some of my friends play on it, (this world is 360+ Mb big IDK if this has anything to do with it) But I am regretting converting it because the blocks lag soooooo much, I have to break a block 3+ times before it actually breaks, and it sometimes takes 10 seconds to eat one piece of food, and the inventory and chests open 5 seconds after I push the button, sometimes block that get broken, delete from existence. This only happens though when there are two or more players on the realm.

@silentwhisperer This bug may be the same one or a variation of it as I tested the ways to replicate that glitch and it seems it may be the same one, there are just different ways to cause it. This video I have attached, "suffocation glitch.mp4" was taken after using my elytra.
Yeah I have this exact same problem, it is so annoying I can't figure it out. I am playing on windows 10 on version 1.16.201
I can confirm that this is still a problem in 1.16.220, how to recreate:
fly into a wall (in survival mode) so that your elytra disengages,
then, walk into a block floating 1 block off of the ground,
and you will find that your head glitches through the top block,
you will find this also works with any blocks off of the ground including 2 block high ceilings that you jump into. Developers, please fix this, it has been in the game for the last three updates.
