One thing I found is that if I change launcher language to "English US" and create a profile with Minecraft 1.9.4 the launcher doesn't crash, but that is all I found.
Same problem confirmed on launcher version 2.0.847.
Why this is marked as solved, can confirm this is still happen in 1.10.2.
