I am having the identical issue. Every 5 seconds the frame rate drops to 10 or 15, just for 1 second, with a big red spike, then back up. It does this regardless of settings, even when not moving within the game. I'm using a brand new Mac Studio with 64G Ram and no other apps open. It never did this before the update.
