This bug is still a problem. The issue is just that when playing the game sometimes the Elytra disappears. There is not much more information that can be given because that's the crux of the issue. When playing the game, while using or even while not using the Elytra, it can randomly disappear.
Mine disappeared off my back today, just mere moments ago, while I was trying to mend it with smelting iron. It wasn't broken, I was trying to recover it before it broke, but it's just gone. It vanished off my back. I checked all my chests to be sure if it was actually gone or not, but it's not in my chests. It's just vanished.
What more do you need to understand the issue?? It's not incomplete, that's literally all the information that's available. The elytra randomly disappears due to an in game bug and that is not OK.
@KR_ its a realm i own that i play with my friends and family on. i dont know how to tell you how to reproduce this because of how random it was. and no, this has never happened to me several times because before now i have never gotten this item before. i didnt say its happened to me several times, its just that when i googled this issue ive seen many other people experienced this same glitch/bug and its pretty game breaking and very disheartening to know i can lose an item through no fault of my own.
mending also seems to not work on my eltyra? unless thats a visual bug, too. ill have no items on with mending but for some reason all the exp goes to my levels instead of my eltyra.
what i specifically was doing when i noticed it disappeared was i had the eltyra being worn, i was wearing it. it was at just under half way damage in the orange zone, i was smelting some iron to take for EXP for the eltyra. i didnt have anything else on with mending besides my eltyra, and when id scooped up some iron/EXP i noticed my eltyra was randomly not the anymore. i checked all my chests like 3 times and nowhere. it just vanished.
ive only ever had this one eltyra. i just got a new one before my first one vanished but im scared to test it out again because i do not want to lose my items for nothing like this.
