This is still a thing in 1.18.2

Can confirm in 1.18. The debug screen even without the graph halves my FPS.

I can confirm that it also happens in vanilla Minecraft (1.16.4) and without any resource packs.

To reproduce it, I put myself in spectator mode and clicked on a creeper.  After pressing a number key to show the spectator mode hotbar, the same white box appears.
