Same issue for me, When you move your mouse the block in your hand will move weirdly.
Too bad this got closed.. my spawn was the second place i looked after it happend. Still no sign of the dragon egg. "Works as intended" implyes that the egg should dissapear when it falls into the portal? the egg was still in block form.
And my friend also have the same bug sometime half control work and another side is like block
