Still happened in PE. I believe the issue is with the size of the nether world vs normal world.
Steps to reproduce.
1) create nether portal, go through and return.
2) move a LONG LONG LONG way away maybe 3000 squares in a single line
3) create a 2nd nether portal. go through & return
ps. I have seen a couple of versions of this bug. one is if you have multiple portals, your portals outside of the nether world space start remapping to the existing portals.
also, when you return if you deactivate the portals in regular space it will dump you in the (desert for me) random edge of the world, but it is always the same place it dumps you, just no nether portal where you jump across.
:-| @sonic : while I understand your response, it's main effect is to discourage me.
there is a saying in open source " the smallest way to contribute to open source is to report a bug"
When I finally understood why this was happening on my device (been occurring for over 4 months) I wanted to help. the 1st obstacle was searching, since bug searching is fuzzy and takes time. The second was signing up (if there was ever a time to have a sign in with google/facebook this would be it). then I reported the bug. took about 1/2 hour to help out and something that probably won't get fixed for a long while ( > month) at best.
after spending that 1/2 hour the response is "you did it wrong" basically just makes me feel stupid for reporting it and ends my energy to help out more.
