Linked Images were created in a flat world. The Smooth Stone blocks help show the distance from the villager to the pillow of a bed. In these images, the villager is unable to link to ANY of the orange beds.
1: Now I understand why my 20 villagers were unable to link to their beds - they were too deep underground. This is fine.
2: the swapping of the profession stands was weird tho. Is this a new thing in Bedrock that the villager MUST link to a bed to also stay linked to their profession table?
OR will I have to be constantly re-arranging profession tables in front of my trapped villagers?
Let me know if it is best to edit the original report. I tried to work through the problem yesterday and found new data.
Realm #1
1: Villagers started relinking to bed (green sparkles) when they were moved considerably closer. Bed could not be more than 3 blocks below the villager.
2: While unlinked to bed, the villagers who had been locked into the job and placed in front of their profession table - switched tables with their neighbor and could not refresh their trades. This effected 10 of the 20 villagers.
Realm #2
3: separate game: two clerics who had been locked by their potion stand for a long time switched profession tables! I moved the two player beds closer and made sure the green particles 'sparkled' in case it is a bed linking issue.
Try giving the villager a bed to link to. Seems they need beds now.
