The hot fix that resolved this issue isn’t available for me to get on switch, I saw that the issue was resolved in version 1.19.21, I’m currently on version 1.19.20 and I’ve tried to update it but it just says that my game software is up to date, however it was available on my phone so I don’t know what’s going on there.
This happened to me as well and I’m pretty sure this issue is only on switch because I went on my phone and the villagers all have their profession texture. Also @HenBles, my villagers all have work stations because I have them in a trading hall, so that’s not the issue, but I thought the same at first.
@OpaqueSleet7802 yeah the toggles update worked for me as well, it’s just the create a world UI that wasn’t updated.
Update rolled out today, issue is resolved, if your game hasn’t updated automatically, try clicking options and then go to software update and click via Internet
