Whether or not the OP spammed, I can confirm the bug. For me, it happens on both single and multiplayer, and functionally broke the game.
If anything interrupts my survival mode game, when I return it is listed is a creative mode game played "long ago". Though the map is the same and saves everything I've done, it means that pocket edition no longer has a playable survival mode, it is quite infuriating.
Using an LG optimus.
