That´s a good question.

Unfortunately I can no longer say 100% whether I slept in this bed before or whether it was the first time after a trip.
Yesterday I built a lot of things far away from my base - that's why I also needed the Shulkerbox for other materials for there.

But I'm willing to say it was the first time — but not for sure!

I will watch on and test also for this situation

Ok just a little bit later I use FoxyNoTails Armor Stand Plugin and looked at the chunkborders where "Rolf" standed.

Maybe it´s useful: Where "Rolf" standed, there are directly behind the chunkborders.

He had could touch it, but not cross it.

Screenshot is uploaded. (The white stripes showing the chunkborder)

I´ve checked it. No mossy cobblestone in the entire villag. only the mossy stonebricks?

Did you think, that could also be the problem?

But why????? This sounds so crazy

Ellie:

I have walls of stonebricks and with some spruce fences between.

But for not beeing so flat and grey, I put mossy stonebricks and cracked stonebricks between the normal ones.

You mean, that this can also be the reason for that?

and what about Bedrock 1.11.1?
I have that problem in THAT version.

I observed a village near by my base.

Put walls around it, and lit it up that nothing can spawn inside. And I observed it successfully ... nothing spawns inside.

I named my villagers with some funny names to see their trades when walking towards them.

But from one playing session to the next, 1 or 2 or sometime 3 villagers are gone.

And in the night the beds are empty, but the other villagers don´t breed, because the game didn´t realize it as an empty bed in my opinion. Dismantle and put it down again, doesn´t give those green particles above the bed. They breed only in that moment when I put down a new bed.
