The same issue happened to me. I was just playing in my world 3 hours ago and I logged back in a few minutes ago and spawned inside a block and suffocated until I died. After that, I spawned in our very first spawn. All items in my inventory are gone and I had like a speed boost. It's a multiplayer world and we've been playing on it for a while now and there's no add ons too. It's just a normal world but in beta. All my enchanted items and others are gone. The world is also glitching out like the fences not connected even though it should be. I feel sad that I lost all my items I worked so hard for to get :((
