The official Star Wars Mash-Up add-on, purchased through the Minecraft Marketplace in 2025, is no longer working correctly.

It worked for approximately two months after purchase, but then stopped working. The issue has persisted for over a year without being fixed.

I reproduced the problem on Windows using:

  • A new Minecraft installation

  • A newly created world

  • A fresh download of the add-on from the Marketplace

The same issue has also occurred for my daughter on iOS and Xbox.

When the world loads, the log reports that the Star Wars Mash-Up cannot load its entity spawn rules because no valid version is available. It also reports an invalid biome in the flat-world generator configuration. Many functions then fail to load because their commands cannot be parsed.

Representative log output:

00:41:14 [Entity][error] Star Wars Mash-Up | no valid version passed by the caller or found in the input
00:41:14 [Entity][error] Star Wars Mash-Up | Failed to load spawn rules
00:41:14 [BiomeRegistry][inform] Invalid biome supplied in flat world generator config

00:41:15 [Commands][warning] Multiple functions failed to load because their commands could not be parsed.

Examples of the repeated command errors include:

  • Syntax error: Unexpected "@a" in execute commands

  • Syntax error: Unexpected "@e" in execute commands

  • Syntax error: Unexpected "@p" in execute commands

  • Syntax error: Unexpected numeric values such as "1", "5", and "6" in block commands

Affected functions include systems for hyperspace travel, vehicles, turbolifts, doors, traps, spawn rules, and other Star Wars Mash-Up features. Examples include:

  • HyperspaceTravel/RazorCrest/*

  • HyperspaceTravel/X-Wing/*

  • Turbolifts/DeathStar/*

  • Turbolifts/StarDestroyer/*

  • Turbolifts/EscortFrigate/*

  • Misc/DeathStar/*

  • Misc/SecretHatch/*

  • Misc/MDSpawners/*

Because the affected commands fail during loading, several add-on features do not function as intended. This appears to affect the Marketplace version of the add-on across Windows, iOS, and Xbox, including newly created worlds and fresh installations.

Please investigate and provide an updated version of the add-on or another appropriate resolution. Since this was a purchased Marketplace product, please also advise whether a refund or account credit is available if the add-on is no longer being maintained.
