Nether portal trigger and travel sounds are not assigned to any sound category

The portal to the hell always sounds because it hasn't assigned any side bar to it's sound. If you put all secondary bars off, the portal will continue to sound. It should be secured to the block or environment bar. in the photo when i press esc the portal continues sounding

Unable to reproduce in 16w32b. The blocks slider controls it for me. Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version (16w32b)? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Can confirm for MC 1.12.1. I still hear portal sounds even though every slider is set to off except "Master Volume".

I'm still not able to reproduce in 1.13.1 (couldn't even reproduce in 1.12.2 ages ago). As @unknown already said, the block slider controls that sound. Can someone else please look into this?

I can't reproduce in 1.12.1 either, which is the latest version marked as affected. The only portal sound I hear is the one played after going through a portal, but that is not what this report seems to describe and probably WAI anyways.

Can someone please look again at this? Apparently there are inconsistencies in reproducing this issue.

Confirmed for 1.14 Pre-Release 2, however it seems as though not all sounds are affected. block.portal.trigger and block.portal.travel will play when all sliders are off, however block.portal.ambient is controlled by the blocks slider.

Confirmed for 1.15.1.

The ambient sounds that play when near a portal are indeed disabled by the 'Blocks' slider, but the sound of going through a portal continues to play even while all sliders except Master are disabled.
