baby zombies pathing freezes for extended periods of time when in 1 high space

A baby zombie, when pathing to a player, will freeze when it's under a 1 high space. I test this by placing a sheet of glass 1 space higher than the ground and watching see see how long it paths to me. They will go for a little while, then stop and it can take a long time before they start trying to path to you again for some reason. They will sometimes keep going more than 5 blocks but usually after 10 or so distance they will just stop.

Is this also an issue in 1.9.4?

Confirm for 1.9.4.
The target mustn't be a villager.

Can you post screenshots of your setup ?

What I found:

  1. The zombie behaves as it should, if it can see the player's eyes (if 1 high space is at the player's eye level)

  2. If the zombie saw the player (1), it won't "freeze", even when the player goes away from the zombie's sight.
So, the problem❓ may be that zombies can't see a player when they only see his legs. Can be reproduced with a normal zombie, if a player is 1 block higher then it, and the sight of the zombie is blocked by a ceiling.

Is this still an issue in the most recent versions (currently that is 1.11) of Minecraft? If so, please update the affected versions and help us keeping this ticket updated from time to time. If you are the owner/reporter of this ticket, you can modify the affected version(s) yourself.
