The Bug
When a polar bear is swimming, sometimes it cannot pathfind correctly. This also causes polar bears to take a ridiculous amount of knockback while swimming in water. To reproduce, try fighting a polar bear in water, and notice the constant spinning and the extreme knockback the polar bear receives when you hit it (even more so when using the knockback enchant).
Steps to Reproduce
Summon a polar bear in a large area of water.
Attack the polar bear with a sprint attack by punching it and as you do this, take note of how many blocks it travels.
Observed Behavior
The movement of polar bears whilst they're in water is too sensitive.
Expected Behavior
The movement of polar bears whilst they're in water would not be too sensitive.

Is this still an issue in the most recent versions (currently that is 1.12.2, or the latest 1.13 development snapshot 18w07c) of Minecraft?
Can confirm this behavior in 21w40a. Here are some extra details regarding this problem.

If you were to attack a polar bear in water whilst using a knockback 2 weapon, and with a sprint attack, it can travel up to 90 blocks away from you, due to the knockback it receives.
